Downbeat Hamilton blames self for poor results

Getty Images Enlarge Lewis Hamilton says he is to blame for a poor run of results after finishing seventh in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Having qualified fourth, Hamilton slipped back during the race as he struggled to get past Esteban Gutierrez after his first pit stop. He was also unable to pass Adrian Sutil for a number of laps and eventually had to follow Paul di Resta home in the closing laps after Fernando Alonso passed the pair of them. Hamilton said after the race that it wasn't a case of being held up by slower cars but not being quick enough to finish any higher.
