Räikkönen to keep shorter E21 in Austin

Lotus driver Kimi Räikkönen will keep the shorter wheelbase E21 chassis for next weekend's United States Grand Prix, having returned to the design in Abu Dhabi. The Finn, who struggled for pace with the longer variation, qualified fifth fastest at the Yas Marina venue, marking his best grid position – before the stewards sent him to the back of the order for a failed front floor deflection test – since the Nürburgring.
