Pirelli bring hardest tyres to Austin

Pirelli have confirmed that the medium and hard tyres have been brought to Austin for this weekend's United Stated Grand Prix - the same nomination as was the case in 2012. These compounds were chosen because of the amount of energy that is put through the tyres due to the varied and high-speed nature of most of the corners on the Circuit of the Americas. The Circuit of the Americas, where traction out of slow corners as well as lateral grip through the high-speed changes of direction are equally important, is one of the few circuits that runs in an anti-clockwise direction.
