Vergne demoted after collision with Gutierrez

In the aftermath of another truly dominant display by Sebastian Vettel at the Circuit of the Americas, Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne was handed a twenty-second penalty for his collision with Sauber's Esteban Gutierrez as the pair touched wheels on the last lap.  The French driver, who remains with the Faenze-based team for next season alongside newcomer Daniil Kvyat, was demoted to sixteenth place behind Gutierrez as a result of the incident between the pair, even though he finished twelfth as the chequered flag was waved in Austin.
