Sorensen tipped for Lotus role

Marco Sorensen could secure his chance in F1 for the 2014 season after reports suggested that the Dane is set to take up the role of test and reserve driver with Lotus for the year ahead.The 23-year-old is a member of Lotus' Junior Team and has competed in the teams colours in Formula Renault 3.5 for the past two seasons – taking sixth in the standings in 2012 and then finishing seventh last year. According to Italiaracing, Sorensen – who is managed by Lotus team boss Eric Boullier – is now being lined up for a role with the F1 outfit for the season ahead.Davide Valsecchi had held the role in 2013 but now appears unlikely to return in 2014 having been openly critical of the decision...
