Sirotkin concludes Fortec FR3.5 deal

– Sauber F1 team test and reserve driver Sergey Sirotkin has signed a deal to race with Fortec Motorsports in Formula Renault 3.5, it has been announced. Back in the summer Sirotkin had been tipped to step up and compete at the pinnacle of the sport in 2014, thanks to the arrival of a group of Russian investors – including one company owned by Sirotkin’s father, who bailed out the Swiss-based outfit. However, without the necessary experience to qualify for a superlicence, the 18-year-old will instead combine his F1 test role with a second full-season in the World Series by Renault. “Firstly, let me thank all at Fortec for the great opportunity that they have offered to me,”...
