Mercedes to unveil new car at Jerez

– Mercedes will reveal its latest Formula 1 challenger on the morning of the first pre-season test at Jerez. The Brackley-based team used social networking site Twitter to announce that the covers will be pulled off its 2014 car on January 28, thus confirming its attendance for the four-day gathering at the Andalusian circuit. On Monday, Lotus said it would be skipping the Jerez test to further develop its new car; the outfit is expected to launch its 2014 machine ahead of the pair of four-day tests at the Bahrain International Circuit.
