Irvine convicted after Milan nightclub fight

Former Ferrari F1 driver Eddie Irvine was sentenced to six months in prison on Thursday following a fight in an Italian nightclub.The outspoken Irish racer, who also competed for Jordan and Jaguar during his F1 career from 1993 to 2002, was found guilty of injuring Gabriele Moratti, the son of a former Milan mayor, in a dispute, which occurred at the Hollywood nightclub in Milan back in December 2008. Moratti was also found guilty of 'mutual injury', with both accusing each other of using a glass in the brawl.Both Irvine and Moratti are not expected to go to jail, however, and the sentences are likely to be suspended.It was alleged that the fight stemmed from a text message Irvine had sent...
