Williams fires up new car for first time

– Williams fired up its 2014 Formula 1 car, the FW36, for the first time on Saturday evening. In a message published via social networking site Twitter, the Grove-based outfit confirmed that founder and team boss Sir Frank Williams was present amongst staff members to witness the new machine as it came to life. Williams, which is expected to attend the opening Jerez test but has not yet announced a car launch date, will use Mercedes engines this season, having contested the past two campaigns with Renault power.
