Bernie could settle for millions

Bernie Ecclestone could pay a staggering £240million to settle his bribery case, that's according to his lawyer. In April the F1 supremo will face a Munich court to answer charges of bribery. The charges relate to the sale of F1 to CVC, in which Ecclestone is alleged to have paid former German banker Gerhard Gribkowsky a bribe. Already Gribkowsky is serving an eight-and-a-half year sentence for accepting said bribe. However, Ecclestone could avoid jail time by settling to the tune of £240million, which is what BayernLB claim they lost because of the Brit.
