Friday running at Jerez to be used for wet tyre testing

Formula One tyre supplier Pirelli have said that the final day of testing at Jerez will be used for wet tyre testing after the track is artificially watered. The company also developed a special tyre for this test, specifically for the colder conditions. This week's Jerez test will be the first appearance for many of the 2014 cars, as Formula One undergoes a technical revolution with 1.6-litre turbocharged engines and multiple energy recovery systems powering the 2014 challengers, which will have to operate within a drastically reduced fuel allocation and revised aerodynamic rules.
