Mercedes W05 breaks cover in Spain

Mercedes have unveiled their 2014 car, the F1 W05, at the start of this week’s opening pre-season test at the Spanish circuit of Jerez.After finishing second to Red Bull in the 2013 constructors’ championship, Mercedes are hoping the new machine will help them go one better this year in the hands of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.The F1 W05 is the most complex Formula One car ever produced by the team, thanks in large part to the dramatic regulation changes for 2014, which include the move to hybrid, 1.6 litre turbo engines."It is always exciting to pull the wraps off a new car for the first time but even more so at the start of this momentous 2014 season,” said the...
