Whiting: New Lotus complies with the rules

– FIA Race Director Charlie Whiting has quashed suggestions that the Lotus E22 is illegal. Last week, the Enstone-based outfit published two digital rendered images of its latest Formula 1 challenger, revealing a striking twin-prong solution to the sport's controversial new nose height regulations. This led to questions over the legality of the car, but Whiting says it is fully compliant with the rules. "The Lotus complies with the rules," Whiting told France's Auto Hebdo.
