Renault issues curtail Kamui's run

Kamui Kobayashi's Caterham debut ended earlier than scheduled due to an issue with his Renault engine. Returning to Formula One this season with Caterham, the fan favourite finally had his first taste of the CT05 at Jerez on Friday. Putting in the laps of the Spanish circuit, Kobayashi posted a best time of 1:43.193 on a wet track. The Japanese driver, though, was not able to put in any laps when the track was at its best due to an engine problem bringing his day to an early end.
