Teams to focus on tyres in Bahrain Hembery

Paul Hembery says Pirelli expects to have a much busier time in Bahrain as teams start to focus on the new tyres.Pirelli's 2014 compounds were used for the first time at Jerez last week, but with low track temperatures and an abrasive surface an extra hard winter compound was also supplied to help teams with running. As the first test was essentially used as a shakedown for the new power units, Hembery said it would be in Bahrain where further attention is paid to the tyres“The emphasis was not on tyres during [the Jerez] test: instead the teams were simply trying to get an understanding of this radical new set of regulations and put the first kilometres onto their cars,” Hembery...
