Teams to test prototype 2015 tyre in Bahrain

Pirelli has confirmed that teams will test a prototype compound at the second Bahrain test, which takes place this week, to test its behaviour without tyre warmers. It will feature the 2014 compound and construction of the medium tyre, but will be used to gather data on how the tyre works without warming blankets which will be banned for the 2015 season. The Italian firm is contracted to be the sport's sole tyre supplier until at least the end of the 2016 season.
