Ferrari protege Marciello to drive for Racing Engineering in GP2 18 February, 2014 Racing Engineering is pleased to announce that the Italian driver Raffaele Marciello will be joining the team for the 2014 season. Raffaele, who is the current FIA Formula 3 European champion with Prema Powerteam, is only 19 years old; he was born in Switzerland on the 17th December 1994. The young Italian is already a very experienced driver, having competed in karting for five years before moving into single-seaters in the Formula Abarth series and for the last three years he has been winning regularly in F3.
