Pic back in F1 with Lotus

Having been dropped by Caterham at the end of last season, Charles Pic has reportedly signed as Lotus' test driver. Although there has been no official confirmation from the team, a photo op in Bahrain gave the game away. Pic was snapped lining up with race drivers Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado in the Lotus kit in front of the E22 on Thursday. The deal, which is believed to be as the team's official test and reserve driver, means the Frenchman has joined former team-mate Giedo van der Garde in taking a test driver role. Also dropped by Caterham, who opted for a completely new line up for 2014, van der Garde has signed as Sauber's official reserve driver.
