Vergne hopeful for Melbourne after a productive final day in Bahrain for Toro Rosso
Jean-Eric Vergne ended testing on a high-note for Toro Rosso, after a productive day for the Frenchman at the wheel of the STR9. The Toro Rosso man completed 74 laps relatively trouble-free laps on the way to fifth fastest overall, ending the day as the highest placed Renault powered car, just a tenth shy of Nico Hulkenberg in the Force India.
”I would describe today as positive and we did some good work, especially in the morning when we got through everything we had planned to do, with everything going smoothly,” said Vergne. “I had a really good feeling from the car today.”
