France on verge of fresh Formula 1 deal

– Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone says France is close to making a return to the calendar. The country last hosted a Grand Prix at Magny-Cours back in 2008, and Ecclestone is now pushing to secure a fresh long term deal with the venue, explaining that the basic terms of an agreement have been outlined. "We have got a contract on the table with France for a race at Magny-Cours," Ecclestone told America's Racer. He added: "To meet the terms of our contract, the organisers will need money and we will want some kind of guarantee that it's not going to be a one-night stand.
