Boullier: I will feel proud arriving in Melbourne wearing McLaren team kit 11 March, 2014 Eric Boullier was instrumental in the transformation of Renault to Lotus, and thus his abrupt decision to quit the Entone squad and join McLaren took the Formula 1 world by surprise, but a few months into his career with at Woking the Frenchman is heading to Melbourne with pride.
Speaking ahead of the season opener at Albert Park, Boullier said, 'The Australian Grand Prix will be a new start – both for Formula 1 and for me personally – I will feel proud arriving in the Melbourne paddock wearing McLaren team kit.'
