Button targeting wins this year with McLaren 13 March, 2014 Jenson Button won the 2012 Australian GP Jenson Button starts his fifteenth season as a grand prix driver when he climbs into his McLaren for the start of the first free practice session of the Australian Grand Prix weekend, and is adamant he will return to the top step of the podium this year. Speaking to media on the eve of the season opener in Melbourne, Button said, 'There were two teams that were really fast in testing – and we weren’t one of them.
