Renault teams cleared to use full power

– Renault's teams have been cleared to run their engines at full power in the Australian Grand Prix. The French manufacturer ran its new turbocharged power unit below its optimal level throughout the trio of pre-season tests to prevent further issues for supplied outfits Red Bull, Lotus, Toro Rosso and Caterham. But speaking to Autosport, Renault's Head of Track Operations, Rémi Taffin, said it will lap without restrictions. "We were behind schedule on some of the items we wanted to have on the car, which prevented us to run to full potential," he said.
