McLaren eager to 'consolidate' in Malaysia

– McLaren Racing Director Eric Boullier has said the team will be looking to 'consolidate' its position in the Malaysian Grand Prix this weekend, and he has promised the squad will be ‘pushing aggressively on the development front’ in a bid to close the gap to Mercedes. McLaren duo Kevin Magnussen and Jenson Button provisionally finished 2-3 in Australia two weeks ago and that result was sufficient to put the Woking-based outfit top in the Constructors’ Championship, eight points up on Mercedes. “The fact that we are leading the Constructors’ Championship is a testament to the underlying strength and hunger of the organisation,” Boullier noted ahead of the second round in...
