Vettel wins global award

Sebastian Vettel's record-breaking 2013 season has been recognised on an international scale after the Red Bull driver was crowned World Sportsman of the Year at the annual Laureus awards.The 26-year-old beat off competition from some of the world's most recognised sporting figures, including Usain Bolt, Rafael Nadal and Cristiano Ronaldo, to become just the second F1 driver after countryman Michael Schumacher to win the top award in the ceremony's 15-year-history.
