Lewis Hamilton was understandably delighted after winning the Malaysian Grand Prix, the 23rd victory of his career and the first at the Sepang International Circuit, but he admitted that it was 'tougher than it looked'.
He held the lead into turn one, after storming to pole position on Saturday, and was unchallenged to the chequered flag. He put in a faultless drive to cross the line 17 seconds ahead of his team-mate. The 1-2 finish helped to move Mercedes up to first in the constructors' championship.
