Frijns gets Friday Bahrain outing with Caterham

– Caterham has announced that test and reserve driver Robin Frijns will take in free practice 1 on Friday ahead of this Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix. It will be debut run during a Formula 1 weekend. The Dutchman, who was the test and reserve driver for Sauber last season, will also take to the track for one day in the subsequent post-race test in Bahrain. In a message on Twitter, he said he was ‘very happy’ to get the nod for FP1, and added that his car will run in a special orange livery, the latter obviously a joke, given it is April 1.
