Smedley to start work for Williams in Bahrain

– Rob Smedley will start work for the Williams F1 Team at this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix. Smedley joins the Grove-based outfit as Head of Vehicle Performance, following in the footsteps of new driver Felipe Massa, for whom he served as race engineer at Ferrari between the 2006 and 2013 F1 campaigns. Smedley will lead the pit wall at races and is to report directly to Chief Technical Officer Pat Symonds.
