Two new teams set to join F1

Bernie Ecclestone says the FIA is willing to allow two new teams to join F1 after a tender earlier this year.A number of teams signalled their intentions to join the sport when the FIA asked for a declaration of interest in January, with a US-based team backed by NASCAR team owner Gene Haas emerging as the favourite to join. There was also interest from a Colin Kolles-backed entry and Ecclestone revealed in Bahrain that there is more than just one space available. Asked if the Haas-backed entry was likely to join the grid, Ecclestone said: “I think they've asked to be entered.
