Hamilton well clear as Ferrari hit trouble

Lewis Hamilton was fastest by almost two seconds on the final day of in-season testing in Bahrain as Ferrari left early.Mercedes tested tyres for Pirelli on Wednesday and Hamilton set a best time of 1:34.136 on a development tyre in the morning session to comfortably head the field, going on to complete 119 laps by the end of the day. Jean-Eric Vergne was second fastest for Toro Rosso and managed 64 laps despite causing a red flag by going off at Turn 4 in the morning, but was 1.421s slower than Hamilton's time.It was a bad day for Ferrari as Fernando Alonso completed just 12 laps before bringing an end to its test.
