Lewis Hamilton kept Mercedes on top as the first of this year’s four in-season tests concluded in Bahrain.The Briton finished a comfortable 1.4 seconds clear of the field on the second day, although his best time of 1m 34.136s was set on a development tyre - Mercedes having agreed to dedicate the day exclusively to compound work for Pirelli.
