Red Bull hearing gets underway in Paris

– The FIA hearing of Red Bull's appeal over Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix began in Paris on Monday morning, as the World Champion team attempts to get its driver reinstated. Ricciardo, contesting his first race for the outfit, was excluded from the results of the season-opening event for consistently exceeding the maximum allowed fuel flow rate of 100kg/h en route to second position. Red Bull also decided to switch to its own fuel flow model for the race as opposed to the FIA-homologated device, produced by Gill Sensors, with the team getting inaccurate readings throughout previous sessions.
