Scope to alter engine noise 'extremely limited'

Renault Sport F1′s Rob White says the potential to increase the noise of the new-for-2014 V6 Turbo power-units is 'extremely limited'. Following a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in Marrakech last week, the FIA confirmed that a consultation process to investigate what can be done to increase the volume of the engines has begun. The sport's new sound has been one of the biggest talking points so far this season, with many fans criticising the change as well as F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone.
