McLaren planning “aggressive” development of MP4-29

McLaren racing director Eric Boullier is optimistic that the team can win return to the top step of the podium in 2014 despite a lack of pace in recent races. The Woking-based outfit left the season opener in Australia leading the constructors’ championship after a second and third place finish for Kevin Magnussen and Jenson Button. However, the team has since slipped to fifth in the standings after both drivers retired in Bahrain and finished outside of the points in China. A lack of downforce has been cited as the main issue with the MP4-29.
