De Silvestro makes Sauber F1 track debut
Simona De Silvestro has completed her first day of testing in a Sauber F1 car at Ferrari's test track in Fiorano. The Swiss completed a total of 112 laps in a two year old Sauber C31 (without KERS and with special tyres from Pirelli).According to the Hinwil outfit, she used the opportunity to become familiar with the specifics of a Formula One car and was able to improve constantly during the day.'Although it's something very special to drive a Formula One car, I was not too nervous in the morning,' said De Silvestro.
