Hamilton: Preserving tyres important

Mercedes AMG Petronas Practice pacesetter Lewis Hamilton says that preserving tyres during this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix will be crucial if Mercedes is to be successful at the event. Hamilton and team-mate Nico Rosberg locked out the front row 12 months ago but regressed during the race, with Hamilton finishing outside of the points. The Brit dominated practice on Friday as he emerged comfortably ahead of his rivals both across short runs and long runs. "It's been a great day today and I'm happy to be back in the car after what feels like quite a long break," he said.
