Button dismisses promising practice pace

Jenson Button has played down hopes of McLaren returning to front-running competitiveness at the Spanish Grand Prix despite an encouraging run in FP1, the British driver insisting the team remains behind Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari. Button turned in the second fastest time during FP1, but would slip back to seventh best during the hotter second practice session with the man himself suggesting the latter position is a more realistic indication of where McLaren are this weekend.
