Hamilton doubted pole was possible

– Lewis Hamilton says he doubted pole position was possible after his early Saturday struggles in Barcelona. Having topped both practice sessions on Friday, the Briton slipped behind Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg in final practice and remained slower in Q1 and Q2. But he delivered a blistering lap in the final shootout to take the top spot. "It's been a tough day," Hamilton reflected. "Nico has been driving really well. I didn't know if I would be able to get it [pole position] but right at the end I got everything and more from the car."
