Exhaust problem truncates Vergne's race

Red Bull/Getty Images Jean-Eric Vergne was forced to retire from the Spanish Grand Prix after an exhaust problem manifested itself in his Toro Rosso. Vergne started from 21st on the grid as a result of a loose wheel penalty but failed to make the distance after the exhaust issue. The retirement was Vergne's third from five races this season. "Somebody has asked me if I feel a bit persecuted by bad luck at the moment," he said. "It might look like this, but this is part of the game.
