Alonso: Ferrari needs to start closing gap

– Fernando Alonso says Ferrari needs to cut the gap to the front of the field after a challenging Spanish Grand Prix. The Italian marque had hoped to move forward at the opening European race of the season, but struggled to sixth and seventh. Fernando Alonso was the last of the drivers not to be lapped by the dominant Mercedes duo, edging out team-mate Kimi Räikkönen. "We would obviously like to be fighting for first and second but unfortunately today we were not quick enough," said Alonso. "At the end we had different strategies and I was able to pass Kimi.
