Chilton ends first day of testing fastest

Marussia F1 Team Marussia driver Max Chilton set the quickest time on the first day of the second in-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. Chilton set a time of 1:26.434 to edge out Lotus's Charles Pic by two tenths of a second. Chilton set his quickest time of the day on Super soft tyres. The morning session was topped by Lewis Hamilton but several teams opted to run just installation laps. The lunch break was brought forward by an hour to give teams more track time during the afternoon, when the rain ceased and slicks were able to be used.
