Max Chilton ended the first day of the post-Spanish Grand Prix test fastest for Marussia with a time of 1:26.434 - three seconds quicker than his qualifying lap - albeit under completely different conditions. Chilton edged out Lotus's Charles Pic by three-tenths in the afternoon once the circuit had dried up following an morning shower.
