Caterham pulls out of second day of testing

Sutton Images Enlarge Caterham has decided to pull out of the second day of testing after Kamui Kobayashi's crash late on Tuesday afternoon. Kobayashi crashed at Turn 3, destroying the front right of the car with 20 minutes remaining in the session. "Having assessed the damage to chassis #03 after Kamui's accident yesterday in the final half hour of T05 day one we have decided not to run on day two," the team said in a statement. "While obviously not ideal, this ensures the team can now focus on the next grand prix in Monaco, starting next week." Despite the setback, Kobayashi said Caterham had made progress on Tuesday. N S
