Maldonado at risk of losing financial support

– A shadow of uncertainty has been cast over Pastor Maldonado's Formula 1 career, following a decision by the Venezuelan government to slash motorsport funding and switch its focus to other fields.Maldonado, who spent three seasons at Williams before moving to Lotus for the 2014 campaign, has long been backed by state-owned oil company PDVSA, in an agreement that includes significant financial support."I know I am going to make some enemies, but there will not be another dollar for motorsport," Antonio Álvarez, Venezuela's new sports minister, explained in an interview with native daily newspaper Ultimas Noticias."It is unfair to use state money in disciplines that do...
