Nelson Piquet Jr. set for RX Lites race at Lydden this weekend
Former Formula 1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr. is set to race in the UK for the first time in over five years this weekend in the RX Lites series at Lydden Hill, supporting the FIA World Rallycross Championship round.
The former Renault driver, who was sacked midway through the 2009 season and played a part in the Crashgate scandal the year before, has not raced on British soil since the grand prix at Silverstone that year. After leaving Formula 1, he moved to the United States to race in the Camping World Truck series before moving to a full seat in NASCAR for 2013.
