Alonso prepared for 'crucial' qualifying

Getty Images Enlarge Fernando Alonso managed to complete a trouble-free day during Thursday practice for the Monaco Grand Prix and is looking forward to the "crucial" qualifying session on Saturday. Alonso set the fastest time on a drying track in FP2 and completed a total of 46 laps across the two practice sessions. But despite rain limiting running in the afternoon, he still managed to get everything ticked on his checklist ahead of the day break before qualifying on Saturday. "Here in Monaco, the most important thing in practice is to do as many laps as possible, because it is a very special track and you need to have a good feeling from the car," he said....
