Disappointment for Lotus in Monaco qualifying

After Lotus scored its first points of the season in Spain two weeks ago, the team was optimistic that the positive progress would continue in Monaco. Grosjean easily made it through to Q3 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and was able to finish eighth in the race despite a problem with his Renault power-unit. However, both Grosjean and his team-mate Pastor Maldonado suffered disappointment in qualifying for Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix and will start the race from 15th and 16th on the grid.
