McLaren returns to the points in Monaco

Following a dismal three-race run without scoring a single point, McLaren returned to the top 10 in the Monaco Grand Prix. Kevin Magnussen started the race from eighth on the grid, ahead of his team-mate Jenson Button who lined up 12th. However, it was the Brit who took the chequered flag as the lead MP4-29 after finishing in sixth place. He had a decent start but suffered contact at Mirabeau. His car miraculously emerged unscathed after Sergio Perez turned in on him on the opening lap. The two collided, which pitched the Force India driver into the wall and brought out the safety car.
