Leimer still eyes F1 seat
Fabio Leimer says his “dream” is still to race in F1 despite moving in to the World Endurance Championship (WEC) this season. Following his GP2 championship win last year, Leimer was rewarded with an F1 test in a 2012 Lotus at Paul Ricard on Tuesday thanks to Pirelli. Having failed to secure an F1 drive this season Leimer is competing in the WEC for Rebellion Racing but when asked if his future lies in endurance racing he revealed he is still hoping to break in to F1 one day. “Who knows? I had the chance to have a seat in LMP1, which is a very good category, so I had to take it,” Leimer said. “But my dream is still Formula One. That's where I want to go but I am already 25 now so...
