Honda not buying into McLaren claims spokesman

Honda aren't interested in buying a stake in the McLaren F1 team according to a team spokesman who commented on the recent speculation. Reports doing the rounds in Monaco suggested the Japanese car manufacturer is not only looking to supply McLaren with engines next season, but also take an ownership stake in the outfit. However, a spokesman denied the reports and said Honda's focus remains on developing a competitive hybrid-V6 engine for 2015.
